Did she come through? When I was reading the reviews for this book, I found many of them that said the book was “inspirational” and lut like that, and then I read reviews that said it was “simplistic” and “reiterated points over and over”, and I wasn’t sure if Lut should even bother.
I hope that many other people with borderline, out of answers, pick up this book and find the strength to continue on. Even the scientists were stunned to discover that the group that bonded and followed most closely was the one that had been pecked repeatedly with the greatest frequency.
I’m pretty damn sure people with BPD can’t possibly “recover” from it, it’s part of who we are and we somehow learn to live with it. But, in reality, it has been your ability to never give up, to keep seeking love, and your racuel to make that love last long enough to sustain you. They varied these groups.
Her therapist was also amazing, always ready to help her find her own inner strength regardless of how much she lashed out at him. The tough chick loner act of self-reliance was a complete facade. iut

I enjoyed this book, I really liked hearing about the individual experience of BPD, from her perspective, rather than more externally as if from a text book, I thought it was a great way to show people what it’s really like, that it’s an experience not just a list of terms, or symptoms. I read this book having been recently diagnosed with borderline personality disorder myself. He made it clear that it was going to be a long hard process and that it was going to take a lot of work, and more importantly, that he would not give up on her.
